Benefits: this yoga pose is a gentle stretch for your hips, thighs and ankles. Besides that with its help you’ve got a chance to relieve pain in your back.

Instructions for doing Child’s Yoga Pose:


1. At first you need to sit on the floor with your the knees down.

2. Then you have to try to spread the knees at the width of the mat. Your toes should touch each other.

3. Now you should bring your belly to rest between your thighs. The forehead should lie on the floor.

4. Now you should work with your arms. There are two possible arm variations:

You can either stretch your arms in front of you with the palms down to the floor or bring your arms back alongside the thighs with the palms upwards. You are welcome to choose the variant that is more suitable for you.

A note for beginners: you can rest in Child’s Pose any time if you become tired or out of breath. You can restart the exercise when you are ready.
