 Sleeping Vishnu Yoga Pose - Anantasana
Type of yoga pose: balancing.

Benefits: this pose allows to improve balance as well as stretch your hamstrings and calves.

Instructions for getting in this yoga pose:

1. At first you are to lie on your back.

2. Then you have to roll over onto the right side.

3. Afterwards you should bend your right arm, and place your right hand under the head so that your fingers were toward your chin.

4. Now you need to flex both of your feet.

5. Then try to get all your body in one line so that not to roll to one side or the other.

6. The next step is bending your left knee, and taking hold of the left big toe with your left hand.

7. Afterwards you should straighten your left leg towards the ceiling and make it as straight as possible.

8. In this position you should maintain the balance on the side and not to roll.

9. Then you should repeat the exercises lying on the other side.

A note for beginners: in case you can’t straighten your left leg, you should loop and hold a strap around the foot of the lifted leg.
