Seated Wide Legged Straddle Yoga Pose

Type of yoga pose: seated.
Benefits: the pose allows to stretch the hamstrings and calves and elongate the spine.
Instructions for doing this yoga pose:
1. From Staff Pose – Dandasana, you should open your legs out as wide as it is comfortable for you.
2. Then you are to keep your thigh muscles engaged, the feet have to be flexed.
3. You have to make sure that the toes are pointing straight up to the ceiling.
4. In the end you need to press your legs down into the floor.
A note for beginners: you can put padding under your sit bones if it is necessary for you.
